Meeting With Your Elected Officials
The best way to educate elected officials about travel and tourism issues is from YOU, their constituents, and your employees. Advocating on behalf of your travel community is critical and can potentially save, and even increase your marketing budget, as well as bolster travel spending, and help protect jobs in your community.
Whether you meet with your local parks director, your state representative, or your Member of Congress, in person meetings provide an excellent opportunity for Power of Travel Coalition advocates to connect with their lawmakers and demonstrate the vast economic impact and importance of the travel industry.
We have provided you with the tools you need to hold an effective in-person meeting with any legislator, whether they are local, state or federal. We hope that you will use this information to get into your elected officials' offices and stress the significance of our industry.
