TSA's Pilot Trusted Traveler Program A Win For Industry

Thanks to your help, the travel industry's voice in Washington is once again being heard. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator John Pistole announced today that the agency will launch a pilot trusted traveler program for select passengers at four major U.S. airports in the fall.

While the pilot program announced today is an important first step, there is much more that needs to be done to create a true trusted traveler program. Going forward, we will continue to work with TSA to build a trusted traveler program that is based purely on security and efficiency – where frequency of flying is one of many considerations. Travelers deserve a program that provides predictable wait times at airports and, for those that qualify, a screening process that recognizes their low-risk nature.
