On July 11, appropriators in the House of Representatives released a draft of the Department of Homeland Security spending bill. U.S. Travel was encouraged by the fact that Brand USA was preserved as part of this spending proposal. After the Trump Administration released their budget recommendation that eliminated Brand USA, thousands of travel leaders, businesses, and employees across the country contacted their elected officials to voice their opposition to this proposal. Our representatives heeded the message and we are now one step closer to ensuring Brand USA remains fully funded, protecting the 15 million jobs international visitors help support.
