The JOLT Act of 2015

Recently, misinformation has spread on Capitol Hill that could threaten the travel industry’s ability to welcome international travelers. The Visa Waiver Program (VWP), a critical program keeping our nation safe and attracting high-spending foreign visitors, has come under attack from people who don’t understand it. Thankfully, legislation, known as the JOLT (Jobs Originated Through Launching Travel) Act, has been reintroduced, which aims to preserve and expand the VWP.
Pass the JOLT Act

Take action by sending a quick email to your Representative letting them know how important international travel is to our country.

The note explains that VWP travelers are carefully screened through multiple intelligence watch lists and thoroughly vetted.  Additionally, it reinforces that the VWP is a cornerstone program for attracting travel to the U.S. In fact, the Visa Waiver Program welcomed more than 20 million international travelers to our shores in 2014 alone.

Tell your Representative to co-sponsor the JOLT Act, a bill to strengthen and expand the VWP, not curtail it.

Travel supports 15 million jobs nationwide and boosts America’s diplomacy efforts. Let’s remind elected officials about the importance of international travel to our livelihoods and clear up misunderstandings about the VWP.
